Rental agreement : when
you book you'll
receive a contract (two copies) with a description of the Gîte;
you'll may take an inssurance in case of cancellation. To confirm the
reservation, you must return one copy of the contract, signed and an
instalment of 25 % of the hire costs. If a deposit is not received, the
contract will be considered invalid. The final instalment is to be paid
one month before your arrival.
Pets are admitted only exceptionally after agreement of the owner and
possibly payment of specific deposit and a price by overnight stay.
Cancellation : Written
be sent by registered letter.
First instalment :
if you have subscribed
to the cancellation insurance, you may be able to obtain a refund if
the conditions stated in the contract are met.
in high season, arrivals are
usually on Saturday after 4pm and departure is on Saturday before 10am.
In other seasons, days and time are negotiable. In case of unexpected
delayed arrival, the customer must call directly the owner by telephone.
Deposit : On
arrival, following an
inventory check, a deposit must be paid to the Owner. The amount of
this deposit is stated on the contract (see
page price / occupancy). The deposit is refunded, at the end of
your stay following a full inventory check by the owner and yourself,
once agreed breakages and damages have been paid for and deducted from
the deposit if applicable. The Gite must be vacated before 10:00 am. In
case of early departure, or night departure, the inventory of the Gite
must be completed the day before departure. In such cases, the deposit
will be refunded to the tenants by mail within one week If no
degradation is noticed.
A daily allowance of 8 kWH
of electricity is included in the Gite rent fee, meter readings are
taken at the start of your stay and again at the end of your stay. The
amount of electricity used is calculated and any units over 8KWH per
day will be charged at the current rate for electricity, notified to
you at the first meter reading by the owner.
Linen : sheets
are included, towels are not included (see page price / occupancy).
Disputes : All
complaints must be made to
"Gîtes de France", with in 3 working days of your arrival at the Gite.
Household : Tenants'
must clean the
property thoroughly before leaving, this will be inspected during the
inventory check. If it has not been cleaned the cleaning fee will be
taken from the deposit. However, at the end of your stay arrangements
can be made with the owner for the Gite to be cleaned for a fixed fee,
this fee is stated on the fees page (see
page price / occupancy).
Tourist tax : Starting in 2016, tax is included in the price of the rent.
Use of the accommodation
: the tenant must treat the Gite and its contents with
respect. The Gite and its contents should be kept clean and maintained
in good working order. Failure to do so will mean any damages
maintenance costs (employment of a cleaning company, breakage of
material, damages to contents etc.) will be deducted from the deposit.
The tenant may make arrangements with the owner for a caravan and or
Tent for additional people to attend the site, the owner and tenant
will agree a price which should be paid in advance. Any damages that
occur as a result of the siting of a caravan or tent will be taken from
the tenant's deposit.
